$1 Dollar Jeans Day
Friday, May 19th, bring in a dollar to have a jeans day. All proceeds will go to purchase new recess equipment/toys for St. Anne Catholic Grade School. This executive order was proposed and approved by principal of the day Dominic Rea.
All grades are welcome to participate. Any class that has a scheduled jeans day from silent auction does not need to bring a donation.
Please view letter from Macomb County Health Dept. regarding students entering the 7th grade.
Canned Food Drive
In order to extend the grace of the Easter season to those in need, the Sixth Grade will be organizing a canned food drive, which will continue through the end of the school year. All grades are encouraged to participate by bringing canned and non-perishable food items and leaving them in one of two collection points: in the Elementary School Building outside the office, and in the Junior High building, at the top of the main stairs.
What should you bring?
Any canned goods (preferably cans with pop tops)
Other non-perishable foods (pasta, fruit cups, ramen noodles, etc.)
Snack bars, peanut butter, jelly.
(Please do not give old, expired items that have been collecting dust in the back of your pantry. Also, items that require a lot of cooking and preparation–e.g. dry beans, rice–are not encouraged.)
All items will be distributed directly to those in need in Southwest Detroit through the ministry of Orthodox Detroit Outreach. For more information, visit orthodoxdetroitoutreach.org.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” Matthew 25:40

Buffalo Wild Wings – Don’t want to cook after soccer on Wednesday, May 24, 2017? Come to Buffalo Wild Wings at 12 mile and Mound, and let them do the cooking for you. A portion of the proceeds from St. Anne families will help support the St. Anne Athletic program. Hope to see you there next Wednesday.
We know the school year is ending and summer is not far away, however, the committee for the “Silent Auction” is already in high gear. The Sausage Festival will be here before we know it! The Silent Auction committee needs your help with donations of items that can be included in “Theme Baskets” for bidding at the Silent Auction. This is a great opportunity for all our students and families to participate in the success of our Auction. View attachment for full details.
Parents, please make sure you look at the schedule (attached) for the end of the school year. These are very important dates that we wouldn’t want you to miss!
Here is the list of School Committee meetings for the remainder of the school year. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM and are held in the Father Walsh room in the junior high building (first floor). All are welcome to attend. Childcare will be provided during these meetings. Our goal is to have our meeting agenda included int he school email that goes out the Wednesday before the meeting date. If you would like to bring an issue forward to the School Committee, please contact a School Committee member. You can either do that in person or via email. A list of the School Committee members can be found on the St. Anne Website under the “About Us” tab. Click on “School Advisory Committee.” We all look forward to serving St. Anne parents, students and staff in the interest of keeping St. Anne Catholic Grade School a great place to learn and grow.
